The student recycling coordinator will work alongside the Facilities and Operations
staff to ensure Residence Life spaces are clean and recyclables are collected. This
position is also responsible for education and awareness regarding recycling and sustainability
for their assigned residence halls
The Resident Assistants will facilitate the social, academic and personal adjustment
of students to the residence hall and University. This position must actively promote
student involvement through activities such as hall events, meetings and general assistance
to students.
The ResNet Developer will create and maintain applications for Residence Life. This
involves analyzing user requirements, designing application functionality, working
with a team to develop the application and deploying it for production use. Students
learn valuable "best practices" when it comes to the world of software design and
development such as coding conventions, version control and data storage structure.
The Facilities Assistant will work on one or more of the following crews: Custodial,
Laundry, Maintenance, Moving or Paint. This position assists with cleaning buildings,
trash and recycling removal and delivery of supplies to various campus locations.
The Programming Resource Center Assistant will support Residence Life by assisting
student leaders and staff members with programming resources found in the PRC. This
position will help promote campus publicity by printing, laminating and providing
input on program creation.
The Conference Assistant will be involved in all phases of the camps and conference
program including general preparation, giving safety presentations, checking in and
out guests, serving on call for emergencies and attending to specific conference needs.
The ResNet Technology Consultant will troubleshoot general technology, user support,
hardware repairs, equipment deployments and more. This position offers extensive
variety in many prominent categories of IT and is a valuable career experience.
The Junior Graphic Designer will support and promote Residence Life through graphic
design and visual communication. This candidate will use Adobe Creative Cloud to produce
print and digital media for various MSU and department events throughout campus.
The Desk Assistant will work shifts at residence hall front desks as assigned, organizing
and updating information. This position will be responsible for greeting visitors
and professionally handling incoming phone calls, while being a resource for residents.
