Request for an Exception to the University Housing Policy

Attention: If you are currently living in a residence hall, you must follow the procedure to request a contract breakage.

All single students under 21 years of age who have earned fewer than 27 hours of transferable credit after high school graduation are required to live in University housing.

Requests for Exceptions to the University Housing Policy are evaluated independently and in the order in which they are received. If an exception is granted it is only valid for one academic year and is not guaranteed to be approved in subsequent years. All requests must be accompanied by appropriate supporting documentation. Follow the links below or read through the required processes for next steps. Students will be notified via email to their University provided email accounts when their request has been processed.

If you have questions, please contact the Office of Residence Life, Housing and Dining Services.
