Global Community

This LLC, located in Sunvilla Tower for the 2017-2018 academic year, is offered to returning students with an interest in language, culture and global living.

Explore the world and prepare for the future right here at MSU!  This community is a global village for students from all over the world.  Make new friends; teach and learn about customs and cultures; network for your future.  Enjoy the diverse experiences of a multicultural home and build your resume at once.

Welcome

Welcome to the Global Community!  As a group, we explore each other’s cultures through shared experiences—both at the individual and societal levels.  Our three goals are:

  1. Be a community where both international and American students can meet
We believe friendships are a powerful tool in breaking down barriers.  Together we expand understanding and increase knowledge about cultural differences through experiences that are fun, instructive and safe.
  2. Be a group that develops each other’s cultural awareness
As future professionals, cultural competency is important.   Being a part of the Global Community is an opportunity to improve your abilities to thrive in an increasingly diverse world.
  3. Develop as leaders
Participating in the Global Community will strengthen your leadership skills.  You may have the opportunity to design activities, serve on a committee, or come up with innovative solutions to student and community needs.

We hope you consider being a part of our global village and become a leader that champions diversity!
