*Most room configurations require beds to remain bunked. Every room differs in size and thus exact dimensions are not available.

Residents of Kentwood Hall may be living in a room that once housed President Harry S. Truman or Groucho Marx. The luxury hotel turned residence hall combines tradition and modern convenience for perhaps the most unique living experience on campus. Formerly the Kentwood Arms Hotel, the facility's rich history welcomed famous statesmen, entertainers, and celebrities.

Currently, Kentwood Hall houses 136 upper-class men and women in a coed, smoke and tobacco free living environment.

Kentwood Hall provides carpeted, furnished one-bedroom suites accommodating 1, 2, and 3 persons. All suites have private bathrooms and are equipped with a desk, desk chair, overhead bookshelf, bunkable bed and closet space for each resident. An underbed storage unit, chest of drawers, refrigerator, and microwave oven are shared by residents of each room.

Students may utilize the newly renovated Kentwood Dining Center, study room, TV lounge, fitness center, central laundry facility, recreation room, ice and vending machine area, as well as the computer lab offering the latest in hardware and software technology, including access to the Internet, word processing and spreadsheet packages, and laser printing. Kentwood Hall maintains a less-restrictive visitation policy, is closed during winter and spring breaks, and requires a meal plan of all residents.

In addition, Kentwood Hall residents who have their own computer and Ethernet card may connect to the university's network through the network modules provided in each room. Access to the Internet and laser printing facilities are available. More information about required specifications for computers and network cards needed to receive access to the network are on our ResNET pages.

Kentwood Hall is within walking distance of the main campus, and the university's shuttle bus system makes frequent scheduled stops at Kentwood Hall for transportation to and from the main campus.
