What can be recycled?

Paper that can be recycled includes:Recycling_Bins

  • Newspaper
  • Magazines
  • Colored paper
  • Envelopes with and without windows
  • Laser computer paper
  • Computer printout paper
  • Carbonless paper
  • Pastel ledger paper
  • White ledger paper
  • Post it notes
  • Receipts and loose leaf paper
  • Frozen dinner food boxes (NOT contaminated)

Staples do not need to be removed.

What cannot be recycled with paper:

  • Corrugated cardboard (separate location, see below)
  • Contaminated food containers
  • Carbon paper
  • Hanging file folders
  • Chipboard

The following recyclables are acceptable and do NOT need to be separated:

Plastics

  • One gallon milk and water bottles
  • One, two, or three liter pop bottles
  • NO other plastic can be recycled other than the above listed

Aluminum and Tin Cans

  • Please rinse
  • May be crushed
  • NO other aluminum products

Glass Bottles and Jars

  • Please rinse
  • All colors
  • NO lids

Cardboard Recycling

  • Corrugated cardboard can be broken down and placed by the recycling bins for removal
  • EMPTY Pizza boxes are recyclable with cardboard
