Meal plans
Currently, we offer students the option to select a 10-, 14-, 19- or unlimited meal plan. The unlimited-meal plan provides complete access to all dining center services anytime the dining centers are open. The 10-, 14- and 19-meal plans allow 10, 14 or 19 visits to the dining centers weekly. The week begins at breakfast on Monday and ends with the Sunday dinner meal.
Students may eat in the dining center of their choice by simply presenting their BearPass ID card.
Meal plans are required and included in the housing rates for the following residence halls:
- Blair-Shannon House
- Freudenberger House
- Hammons House
- Hutchens House
- Kentwood Hall
- Scholars House
- Wells House
- Woods House
Although Sunvilla Tower residents are not required to purchase the traditional meal plan, they must purchase either a traditional or optional plan.
After hours dining
After hours dining is an exciting element of on-campus living. Offered from 9-11 p.m. Sundays-Thursdays, this fourth dining option is very popular with residents, as it provides a good study break and an opportunity for students to collaborate on group projects!

BearFare
In addition to the standard meal plans which provide access to each of the three dining centers, students may buy an additional plan called BearFare. BearFare meals may be redeemed for special menu items at several non-dining center locations.
Residents pay a reduced price for a meal valued between $5-7. These locations include Boomer's Café, Subway, Chick-fil-A, Smashers and Papa John's. Students may use a BearFare meal as often as they like during the week after 1 p.m. and anytime during the weekend and University holidays.
Purchase
BearFare meals may be purchased through the Student Housing Contract in blocks of 15, 35 or 50 each semester. Students may purchase additional blocks of BearFare anytime through the residence life and services office, Hammons House 104, or the dining services office, Plaster Student Union 213.
